Welcome to this week's edition of "Press Coverage." Chicago Bears head coach Matt Eberflus, quarterback Caleb Williams, and wide receiver DJ Moore were back at Halas Hall discussing the team's winning streak and what they're focusing on in this week's matchup versus the Washington Commanders Here's what we learned during Wednesday's media session from 1920 Football Drive in Lake Forest. Matt Eberflus Chicago Bears Injury Updates Safety Jaquan Brisker (concussion) and nickel corner Kyler Gordon (hamstring) were held out of practice Wednesday.
Brisker has been in concussion protocol since reporting symptoms on Oct. 14 following a win over the Carolina Panthers while Gordon left the Jacksonville game early in the 3rd quarter. Matt Eberflus said both players are day-to-day.
Starting cornerback Tyrique Stevenson (calf) returned to practice Wednesday along with several others who've missed time, including long snapper Scott Daly (knee), defensive tackle Zacch Pickens (groin), cornerback Terell Smith (hip), running back Travis Homer (finger), and swing tackle Larry Borom (ankle). Borom and Homer began the 21-day practice window as they work toward returning from injured reserve. And while guard/center Ryan Bates (shoulder/elbow) was on the practice field Wednesday, it sounds like he's at least another week away from returning.
