A hidden psychological horror film on Amazon Prime has , with many likening it to Jordan Peele's acclaimed thriller, Get Out. The 2022 release, Nanny, marks the directorial debut of Nikyatu Jusu and tells the story of an undocumented Senegalese nanny named Aisha (portrayed by Anna Diop). She struggles to juggle her demanding job caring for a wealthy couple's child and her desire to bring her son, who she was forced to leave behind, to America.

However, her tenure with the family is riddled with issues. The mother, Amy (Michelle Monaghan), grows jealous of the bond Aisha forms with her child and underpays her, leading to rising tensions. On the other hand, the father, Adam (Morgan Spector), appears to be leading a secret life away from his wife and child.

In this strained atmosphere, Aisha begins to experience horrifying hallucinations and blackouts that could jeopardise her job as a nanny.
