A farm shop so in demand that patrons say it's "like Alton Towers" during weekend rushes has revealed significant changes to its business plan. The Hollies Farm Shop, which is regularly visited by influencer Molly-Mae Hague, is taking drastic action in order to manage the crowds of visitors. Nestled in Little Budworth and dubbed "Cheshire's poshest farm shop", the shop has become a day trip favourite - but it seems to have gotten too popular for its own good.
The family-owned establishment announced on their social media earlier this week that they have been forced to make an urgent adjustment to help with the "smooth running of the site and well-being of our staff and customers". In a move described as a "difficult decision", the takeaway cafe will close temporarily to ease some of the parking chaos, according to the announcement. Boasting the title of Cheshire's oldest farm shop since the '50s, The Hollies has morphed into a weekend hotspot, seeing visitors snake around the car park just to enter and browse through everything from local delicacies to gift items and home decor - not to mention the cafe right next door.
But even with an overflow car park on the site, there has been growing pressure on weekends, with many locals blaming the "Molly-Mae effect" for inspiring visitors to flock from far and wide. It even played host to Hollywood royalty in the summer when Friends star Courtney Cox and her partner Snow Patrol's Johnny McDaid shopped there, reports the Manchester Ev.
