Porsche India reported a 40 percent increase in sales during the first half of 2024, selling 489 vehicles and achieving its best-ever performance in the country. This growth was primarily driven by strong SUV sales, particularly the Macan and Cayenne models. New Delhi: Porsche India has announced a significant milestone, recording a 40 percent growth in sales during the first half of 2024 compared to the same period last year.
The German performance brand sold 489 cars and SUVs, marking its best-ever sales performance in the country. The growth was largely driven by Porsche’s SUV portfolio, which includes the Macan and Cayenne models. These SUVs accounted for 306 units, making up nearly 63 percent of the total sales.
Additionally, the iconic 911 model saw 93 units sold in the first half of this year. The remaining 90 units comprised the Taycan, Panamera, and 718 models. This impressive growth places Porsche alongside other luxury carmakers that have managed to achieve strong sales figures despite a slowdown in the mass market segments.
Recently, Porsche India announced prices for the Panamera GTS and the updated 911, which now features a hybrid powertrain for the first time. Along with the Cayenne GTS and these models, the company plans to start the deliveries in the fourth quarter of 2024. Furthermore, the all-electric Macan and the facelifted Taycan, both launched this year, are expected to start deliveries early next year.
