A popular Pride festival in Greater Manchester is returning this weekend with an ‘expanded’ line-up of events, including quizzes, drag shows and live DJ takeovers. Prestwich Pride, which has been held in the Bury borough for the last two years, will take over the town with a host of free and ticketed events from Friday until Sunday (August 9 to 11). The LGBTQ+ festival will be headlined by Gina Breeze, resident DJ at The Warehouse Project, HomoBloc & HomoElectric.

She will perform at The Goods In bar, opposite Heaton Park tram stop, for a special Love Hangover event in aid of Trans Mutual Aid Manchester on Saturday night (August 10) - tickets here. Hosted by Sophia Stardust, there will be a two-course dinner, drinks and an exciting DJ set - with details on how to book available here . Friday night will also see a drag quiz at Macca's Bar and Grill, with tickets available here . For families with little ones, Saturday (August 10) will see the return of Born To Be Wild Child at the Con Club from 11am.
