The Austrian operator ÖBB has chosen to halt sleeper train services between Paris and Berlin, just eight months after the route first started. Services between Vienna and Brussels will also be impacted because of renovation work taking place in both France and Germany .

The work, which is already underway according to RailTech, will be taking place along the Epernay–Château-Thierry section of the French railway . Meanwhile, in Germany infrastructure work is happening between Halle and Eisenach along the Berlin-Mannheim Line.
