AMAZONIA, Mo. - Charles Dale Polsgrove, 96, of Amazonia, Missouri, passed away on Friday, Oct. 25, 2024, at St.
Joseph Manor, in St. Joseph. He was born Oct.
27, 1927, in Fillmore, Missouri, to William and Beulah Beatrice (Alexander) Polsgrove. He married Opal Mary (Wiltz), in Oregon, Missouri, on April 17, 1949, and she preceded him in death in 2008. Also preceding him in death were his daughter, Lori Polsgrove; grandson, Brandon Polsgrove; his parents; brothers, Raymond and Roscoe "Jack" Polsgrove; and sister, Wilma Beattie.
Charles was beloved by many and known for his sense of humor. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, motorcycling, gardening, and sports. He was a WWII Army Veteran.
Survivors include his children, Gregory (Diana Queen) Polsgrove, Stockton, Missouri, Steven (Joette) Polsgrove and Leslie Polsgrove, St. Joseph, and Anita (Jeffrey) Green, Vancouver, Washington; grandchildren, Gregory C. Polsgrove, Jill Paxton, Jesse Taylor, Travis Polsgrove, Samuel Green, Shelby Green; nine great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Michael (Cindy) Polsgrove, of Oregon, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct.
29, 2024, at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home, Savannah, Missouri. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m.
with burial following at the Fillmore Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Three Oaks Hospice, 1213 N Belt Hwy Suite E, St. Joseph, MO 64506.
