Police have warned about a rise in “sneak in burglaries” after coming across a set of keys left in a door. Officers say they came across the keys while patrolling in Little Hulton this week. They have warned that this could have made a “sneak in burglary” more likely and have advised people to be sure to make their homes as secure as possible.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “The Little Hulton neighbourhood team have been out on patrol and came across some keys left in a front door. “You might well be thinking what's so special about that? Police have warned about sneak in burglaries (Image: Newsquest) “Well it could of potentially stopped a sneak in burglary. "Its hard to measure what we in the police have prevented however this could be one such instance.
“At this time of year we do see a increase in burglary due particular sneak in burglaries as people leave windows and doors insecure because of the warmer weather.
