A private firm, the Boing Luxury Estates, has donated three drones to the commands of the police and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Ondo and Ekiti states, to tackle hoodlums’ activities. The three drones were specifically meant for Ekiti and Ondo police commands and the Ondo command of the NSCDC. Presenting the security equipment to the Assistant Inspector General of Police in Zone 17, Mr Abiodun Asabi, at the zonal headquarters in Akure, on Monday, the Managing Director of the firm, Mr Martins Akinseloyin, said crime-fighting should be everybody’s concern.

He said the gesture was out of the company’s magnanimity to give to society, as part of the programmes to mark its 10th anniversary. He added that the firm saw the need to lend the government a helping hand in tackling insecurity, as it had become a major challenge in the country. “We think of giving back to the society that has done so much for us, as we are marking our 10th anniversary.

“This is a way of helping the security agencies in the modern and recent ways of fighting crime. This is our Corporate Social Responsibility,” he said. Akinseloyin lamented the alarming rate of the security situation in the country and called on all to play a role in supporting security agencies to fight the menace.
