Police have put out a renewed appeal to find people involved in the outbreaks of disorder earlier this month. The violent scenes hit both Bolton town centre and Manchester City Centre over the weekend of August 3 and 4 with more than 100 people already having been arrested. Greater Manchester Police say they are still looking at CCTV footage and have appealed for anyone who may recognise anyone caught on camera to come forward.

Assistant Chief Constable Colin McFarlane said: “These individuals were warned that they would face the full force of the law if they incited violence or took part in the violent disorder that we have seen over the last few weeks, and this remains as we are identifying more and more individuals who we are arresting and putting before the courts. Police have been reviewing CCTV footage (Image: GMP) “A lot of work goes on behind the scenes following largescale events of disorder, officers and staff have been trawling through hundreds of hours of CCTV, phone footage and officer’s body worn video footage to identify individuals involved. “We are then working to build strong cases to take to court, their hard work has resulted in the arrests of 101 suspects to date and it’s work that they should be proud of.

Investigations are ongoing (Image: GMP) “As a force we are stepping up to protect our communities, we are showing that we will not tolerate this behaviour by using all of the tactics and resources available to us to bring people to justice. .
