PLANS have been submitted plans to build eight "affordable" bungalows in Leigh. Submitted by Pozzoni Architecture, the bungalows are proposed on three vacant plots of land around Westbourne Avenue, Yates Street, and Holt Street in Leigh. With a combination of 1, 2, and 3 bedroom bungalows proposed, developers believe that the site "represents an excellent opportunity to deliver much needed residential accommodation [.

The exact reason for this demolition "has not been determined", while there are issues with a very narrow access road and "an area of substance or small sinkhole on the site". The developers say that the bungalows, situated between Kirkhall Lane and Atherleigh Way, will "provide an appealing and homely environment" for future residents, and "have been designed to be sensitive to the local context".
