The Black Horse in Northfield has a particularly lovely beer garden We hate to say it, but the time for being outside and drinking in summery beer gardens is running short. And so, while we still have a few weeks left of British summertime, we're making the most of it in Birmingham boozers. The Black Horse in is one of the most spectacular .

The sprawling space, Tudor in style, has so much space inside and out that people from all across the community can find their place there. We visited on a week day lunchtime and you can read all about that in a seperate story. For now, we wanted to show you a few of the little details that make this pub so pleasant.

If you want to explore the rooms inside, the busy bar, the cosy nooks with window views, the bigger, country pub-style dining room or the patios for smokers and non-smokers, you'll have to visit for yourself. Here's a few snapshots of some of the best bits though, in case you wanted an idea!
