The 52nd edition of the Africa Concours d’Elegance, held at the Ngong Racecourse, was a fun-filled day of automotive artistry and fashion, drawing thousands of car enthusiasts, families, and fashion-forward individuals to one of the most anticipated social events in Nairobi. Organized by the Alfa Romeo Owners Club and sponsored by Stanbic Bank Kenya , this year’s Concours showcased the perfect blend of elegance and fun, making it the ultimate Sunday family outing. As always, the cars were the stars of the day, with over 70 meticulously restored classic and vintage auto-mobiles and 40 stunning motorcycles gracing the grounds.

From gleaming hoods to polished fenders, each car told its own story of nostalgia and craftsmanship, offering a rare glimpse into automotive history, with some vehicles dating back to the 1920s. It was Sati Gata-Aura’s 1977 Nissan 160J that stole the show and spotlight, recapturing the title he first claimed in 1988 with a remarkable 269 points. However, it wasn’t just the cars that turned heads.

The event was also a catwalk for fashion enthusiasts who strutted through the day in stylish ensembles, perfectly complementing the vintage elegance of the vehicles on display. Sun hats, designer shades, and smartly tailored outfits were in abundance, making the Concours a feast for the eyes in more ways than one. Families with young children found delight in the dedicated entertainment areas, with activities ranging from face painting to interactive game.
