I love to cook but sometimes find with my busy schedule, I don’t get to do so as often as I would like. I’ve always heard all my friends rave about their air fryers but I had never used one myself. So, when I found myself ordering UberEATS one too many times, I decided it was time to start saving time and money and try out an air fryer.
Know the news with the 7NEWS app: Download today I was delighted to discover that Philips has just released its latest air fryer, the Philips 5000 Series Dual Basket Air fryer with steam, which is a first of its kind. The new Air Steam technology means you can steam and fry at the same time in just one appliance. It’s easy to use, convenient and you can cook different ingredients with a different cooking method at once — so you can spend less time over a hot stove, and more time doing the things you love.
My new air fryer has honestly been a game-changer for my flatmates and me. We’ve used it for everything from crunchy potatoes to chocolate pudding and ginger salmon. We can cook healthy food that’s delicious but super quick to whip up with minimal cleaning.
What’s great about this air fryer in particular is that it comes with two baskets that equate to 9L in total. You get a large six-litre basket for mains, and a three-litre drawer for sides and snacks. I find my fish and chicken cook really well in the air fryer and don’t get soggy and watery the way they do in a regular oven.
