People were left baffled as pictures of odd pink lights in the skies over Dublin emerged online in recent days. Alan O'Reilly from Carlow Weather posted the eerie images sent to him by a follower on his social media accounts last week. He said: "Images from Swords in Dublin tonight from a follower wondering about the colour in the sky.
Looks like coloured lights reflecting off the cloud, anyone know the source of the lights?" The strange colouring was not as a result of the Northern Lights which have been spotted spectacularly over Ireland in recent months but followers were quick to recognise the probable cause. Some nights they are seen more than others," they added. "That's Keeling's, Alan, seen them on the way to work this morning and the photo is from now," another added. It appears the Keelings fruit production facility nearby is the source.
