It's calming and soothing, plus you get the opportunity to truly nourish all your plants and flowers at a comfortable pace with no one bothering you. But with autumn slowly creeping around the corner, managing an onslaught of leaves can disrupt this zen-like task.

Typically, we let them blow away or hire someone to handle the enormous job. Either way, an excess of leaves can become a nuisance and really get in the way. However, if you're on the hunt for a clever gardening hack, look no further than X (formerly known as Twitter ).

The account 'Today Years Old', which amassed 1 million followers, recently shared their method. The caption simply read, in the now-deleted post: "Work smarter, not harder." Accompanying this was a video featuring a woman putting this motto into practice using a black bin bag.

She placed the bag around her feet and swept all the leaves into it effortlessly. Recoiling it was as easy as that, she had captured every leafy culprit in the bag, ready for recycling collection. The hack scooped for more than 14.
