7 after beating formerly No. 19 Illinois 21-7 in Beaver Stadium. Then-No.

6 Ole Miss lost and then-No. 7 Miami struggled with a 2-2 team to make room for a Lions jump. Illinois remained in the top 25 but fell five spots to No.

24. The Illini are 4-1 to begin the year. Penn State also moved up one spot in the US LBM Coaches Poll, from No.

8 to No. 7. With a ton of movement near the top of the AP Poll, the new top 10 looks like this: Alabama, Texas, Ohio State, Tennessee, Georgia, Oregon, Penn State, Miami, Missouri and Michigan.

USC (11) and Indiana (23) are the other Big Ten teams in the rankings. Penn State stays home for one more week, playing UCLA at noon on FOX for the annual Stripe Out . It ends a stretch of five straight weeks at home — four games and one bye week — before the Lions go to play at USC.

UCLA this season is 1-3 and on a three-game losing streak. The Bruins lost this past weekend in blowout fashion, 34-14 to Oregon.
