Tuesday, October 1, 2024 Pegasus Airlines is set to revolutionize the travel experience for its passengers with the launch of an innovative multilingual project aimed at enhancing communication during flights. Starting in October, flights to destinations in Spanish, Arabic, and Russian-speaking countries will feature AI-generated announcements in the local languages, following an English version. This new feature made its debut on the inaugural flight to Seville on September 24, where guests were welcomed in Spanish and provided with route information.

Pegasus Innovation Lab Unveils Its First Initiative The Pegasus Innovation Lab, established in Silicon Valley last year to lead advancements in aviation technology, is behind this groundbreaking project. Utilizing AI for voice cloning and multilingual announcement systems, the lab has developed a mechanism that replicates the voices of both male and female Pegasus pilots. This allows for engaging, multilingual announcements tailored to each specific flight.

These announcements include vital information such as flight status, weather updates, destination details, the captain’s name, and the estimated flight duration, all dynamically generated via AI prior to departure. With this initiative, Pegasus Airlines enhances its passengers’ journeys by communicating with them in their native languages, creating a more personalized and innovative travel experience..
