Thousands of balloons dropped from the rafters of the United Center at the conclusion of Vice President Kamala Harris’ acceptance speech Thursday night at the Democratic National Convention. What happened to all of those red, white and blue balloons once Harris, the delegates and most everybody else cleared out of the Chicago arena? Well, for one, stragglers played with them. But then an army of United Center crew members rolled in early Friday and popped them, one by one, using sticks, pins, keys, you name it.
