Actor Sparsh Singh Kotwal who currently plays a parallel lead role of Monty Bajwa in Ekta Kapoor's TV show Parineetii , featuring Anchal Sahu, Tanvi Dogra and Ankur Verma. He talks about his journey to fitness. He said, "I got into fitness later in life.
I'm an engineering student. During my college, I joined NCC (National Cadet Corps) and pursued it for 3 years. I'm NCC holder by A grade.
I also joined The IMA Attachment Camp, it's prestigious camp in which I represented Uttrakhand. Though I belong from Jammu but my college was in Uttrakhand. I achieved 14th rank all over India.
So I understood the importance of being fit and started going to Gym during the final years of my college. Soon I started training others too." Sparsh credits Salman Khan for motivating him to build a well-toned body, and drawing inspiration to become an Actor today.
He continued, "At the back of my mind I knew about my wish to become an actor. I was sure that wanted to be in showbiz only. I was inspired by superstar Salman Khan, who's my all-time favourite.
I loved the way he flaunts his body without any hesitation. I too wanted to build myself and look fit like him. My family was more concerned about my studies so they never allowed me to join a gym before my college.
" Not many know that the actor is an athlete. He revealed, "After that, I also learned martial arts and was an athlete. I participated in many sports and won.
So my lifestyle pushed me to be a fitness freak and I enjoyed the transforma.
