Paddy McGuinness has expressed his joy at seeing his pal Freddie Flintoff back on the telly. The presenter admits Flintoff is looking "back and better" after a serious 'Top Gear' crash. The 46-year-old presenter had to step back from the limelight following the accident in 2022, which left him with facial injuries and broken ribs, leading to the BBC putting the brakes on the iconic motoring show.
But now, Flintoff is revving up for a second series of his 'Field of Dreams' docu-series. Chatting on ITV's Good Morning Britain , Paddy, aged 52, shared: "When we did 'Top Gear', we're that close because you're together all the time going around the world so you have a real bond." He added, "Seeing him do stuff like that, it's so good to see him back and better.
" While Paddy played it cool about the future of 'Top Gear', he hinted that things might get back on track, saying: "I sound like a politician now." He continued, "I can't really get into the ins and outs of it because there's all stuff still going on with 'Top Gear' and what have you, so at some point it will all get sorted." Freddie, the retired cricket star, has been candid about his near-fatal experience, admitting in an emotional home video after the crash, featured in 'Fields of Dreams on Tour': "I am struggling already and I need help.
I really am. I'm not the best at asking for it. I need to stop crying every two minutes.
" He confessed, "I genuinely should not be here after what happened. It's going to be a long road .
