Pachinko has been one of the best shows backed by Apple TV in recent years. The drama has been highly praised for its writing and the performances of A list cast from the Japanese and Korean entertainment industry. The season 2 trailer has been unveiled with cinematography just as delightful and it has left fans in awe.

Based on the 2017 novel by Min Jin Lee, the show is set to return to Sunja (Kim Min-ha)'s story. Season one followed Sunja from childhood into adulthood, exploring the sacrifices she made to secure her and her family's future. Last we saw Sunja had to come to terms with her husband's arrest and the possibility of him never coming back.

While grieving she also decides to put her future in her own hands. She then gains some independence as a kimchi seller. Pachinko has so far been a faithful adaptation of the source material sans a few twists.

It is unclear how close the makers will remain to the book in season two. According to Deadline, the showrunner has revealed that the second season will explore more drama due to historical turmoil at the time. I'm soooooo intrigued by this scene! By his reaction he looks shocked.

He either didn't intended to let it get to that point (kill him) or he was even pressured to do it and is disgusted at the same time about himself. Oh Hansu! — Alessandra (@alexlmho) The first season explored Sunja's story during Japanese occupation of South Korea, meanwhile, Pachinko Season 2 will explore a multigenerational story after a time.
