Vadodara: Gujarat BJP President C R Paatil and minister of state for home Harsh Sanghavi visited the city to oversee preparations for the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Spanish counterpart Pedro Sanchez. The premiers are to visit the city for the inauguration of the Tata Advanced Systems Ltd ( TASL ) aircraft complex, which will make C-295 aircraft. TASL entered a collaboration with Airbus Defence and Space for the manufacture and assembly of C-295 transport aircraft for the Indian Air Force (IAF).
The manufacturing facility in the Harni area of the city is ready and will be inaugurated on Monday. Paatil and Sanghavi held meetings with elected representatives, officials and Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) functionaries. Sanghavi is also the in-charge minister for Vadodara district.
The group visited the facility and took stock of preparations there. Sources said a road show was also being planned. There will be groups welcoming Modi and Sanchez with traditional performances and fanfare along their route.
