Outlander season 7 part 2 trailer on STARZ Outlander star Sophie Skelton has revealed some surprising insight into how the signature Craigh Na Dun scenes are actually filmed. In the hit Starz series, the adventure begins when WWII nurse Claire Randall (played by Caitriona Balfe) is whisked back in time through the supernatural stones. She soon meets Highlander Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) and becomes Claire Fraser, later giving birth to their daughter Brianna (Sophie).

However, fans might be surprised how the pivotal time-travelling scenes actually occur on set. Sophie even admitted the cast often get the giggles due to what they have to do to look as if their characters are disappearing. “I’ll try and give some funny things for you all to sit with to get you through Droughtlander,” she began, referring to the affectionate nickname viewers have given the show’s notoriously lengthy hiatuses. “There are some scenes, especially when we’re going through the stones and stuff, that are always quite funny.” The Scottish star revealed that, rather than using flashy special effect.
