Outlander fans have been left stunned after spotting Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe sporting rather different looks on the set of the show’s final season. Filming is currently underway in Scotland ahead of season eight’s undisclosed release date, with the final episodes of season seven premiering this November. With anticipation already at an all-time high for the Starz drama’s return, devoted fans recently got their hands on some incredibly revealing new photos from the set.

Meanwhile, her husband Jamie has continued to grow out his luscious ginger locks which he’s kept in a tight ponytail; until now. It looks like the rugged Highlander will finally letting his hair down next season as the set photos reveal actor Sam allowing his ginger wig to cascade all over his shoulders.
