Outlander star Richard Rankin is once again causing sides to split with the latest look at him on-set as Roger MacKenzie. Millions of fans are eagerly awaiting the return of the Starz drama for the much-anticipated second half of season seven. The November premiere will kick off with Claire (played by Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) reaching the shores of Scotland and Roger returning back in time to rescue his son.
With just under two months to go before the fantasy epic returns, the show’s official Instagram page treated fans with a sneak peek at what goes down on set when the cameras aren’t rolling. Social media users couldn’t help getting distracted when they saw Richard in full 18th-century garb carrying an extremely anachronistic takeaway coffee cup. “Richard with the coffee is too funny,” one Outlander enthusiast replied.
Another joked: “Roger, contemplating the past with a nice pumpkin spice latte from Ye Olde Starbucks.” “Roger brought his coffee back 200 years?” a third asked, adding a shocked face emoji. Apart from this humorous detail, fans were thrilled to get closer looks at their favourite cast members before the show returns in November.
