Students from Algonquin College's community and justice services program spent the last 24 hours in Minto Park near Elgin Street as part of Operation Come Home's 24 Hours of Homelessness event.

Those realties were all-too-familiar for one student, 36-year-old John Wurtz, who’s coming up on six years sober after dealing with addiction issues for most of his adult life.
