The opera star appeared alongside presenters Alex Jones and Roman Kemp to reveal his heroic comeback to the music industry following a harrowing fight with two brain tumours. Russell, who appeared last year on I'm A Celeb.

.. began his interview on a lighter note, joining in with Will Ferrell as he recollected his iconic singing cameo in the comedy film Step Brothers.

Opening up about his health battles' long-lasting impac t, Russell confessed that even after 25 rounds of radiotherapy in 2008, the challenges persist, sharing with viewers his bout of depression during recovery. And things emotional when Alex and Roman shared a touching tribute from his consultant, Mr Lackett, which brought the singer to tears, reports the Mirror . Moved by Mr Lackett's words, "17 years on from that brave decision to have the surgery, and look what a glittering career you've had in between," Russell was left visibly touched by the acknowledgement of his resilience since his emergency operation all those years ago.

Roman considerately offered tissues after the emotional clip, allowing Russell a moment to regain his composure, who joked with the hosts, "Why did you do that?". Alex said "Aww", up.
