Only Fools and Horses legend Nicholas Lyndhurst has addressed whether he plans to stay in Hollywood for good after returning to the Golden State to reprise his role as Alan Cornwall in the hit US show, Frasier . Nicholas first starred opposite Kelsey Grammar when the 1990s sitcom was revived last year. Despite enjoying his time across the pond, the Rodney Trotter actor, 63, has insisted that Blighty will always be his home.

He told Radio Times : “I’m just here for the duration of the show and I’ll go home to the UK afterwards. But it is absolutely wonderful to be here for now. “I’m in my mid-60s and at this stage of my career, I wasn’t expecting to be walking through the gates of Paramount Pictures every morning.

“I probably pinch myself every 20 minutes in this job, because working with Kelsey and working in this building is heartstoppingly wonderful.” Nicholas’s 10-episode appearance in Frasier last year struck a chord across the pond and the viewers “loved him”. The sitcom sees Frasier return to Boston following the death of his father and the end of his relationship.

Nicholas’s character, Alan, is an old classmate of his and a professor at Harvard University. Nicholas will always be remembered for his days alongside David Jason as part of the Only Fools and Horses duo from 1981 to 2003. Nicholas and David shared an incredible bond across the years they spent making the beloved BBC One comedy.
