State woman and child development (WCD) commissioner Dr Prashant Narnaware told TOI, “There is a high influx of applications over the last 10 days because of continuous programmes. All collectors and commissioners are working to clear them at the earliest.” Meanwhile, applications that either lacked documents or were not linked with bank accounts would be considered after re-registration.

“Work is on for seeding of bank accounts of many beneficiaries and special camps have been held for the same,” said senior officials, adding that around 47 lakh applications were rejected because of lack of documents and the affected claimants could re-apply.
