One of the UK's only mushroom festivals is coming to the county next month. All Things Fungi Festival (ATFF) will be held on the Chiddinglye estate, near East Grinstead, from September 13 to September 15. The camping event, which celebrates fungi through arts, music and education, is said to be a "one-of-a-kind" experience.

Some 600 people are expected to attend the festival over the three days, with children only allowed on the Sunday when dedicated spaces for youngsters and families will be set up. A spokesman for the festival said: "This eco-conscious event will be educational and community-orientated involving local and national fungi groups.

"The festival aims to cover mushroom identification, cultivation, microscopy, DNA sequencing and topics surrounding the soil food web, composting, permaculture and and rewilding. "Most importantly, we will celebrate the people at the forefront of mycology in the UK and beyond." Each day of the festival will start with a variety of wellness events including yoga and gong baths.
