ONE of the best airlines in the world has revealed plans for more flights from the UK. Singapore Airlines (SIA) was frequently named the world's best airline, although lost the accolade earlier this year to Qatar Airways. Despite this, the airline - stilled named the best in Asia as well as having the world's best first class - launched a number of flights from the UK earlier this year.

This included London Gatwick to Singapore , with five flights a week that started back in June. From March 2025, this is to increase to seven flights a week, becoming a daily service. This means there will be five flights a day from London to Singapore , with four daily services already in operation from London Heathrow.

Read more on airlines While flights between Manchester and Singapore will remain in place, it will suspend it's flights from Singapore to Houston, which included a stop in Manchester, from April 2025. Currently in operation are five flights a week from Manchester ti Singapore. Market planning acting senior vice president Dai Haoyu said the changes were to to demand of the services.

They added: “These adjustments, ahead of next summer , cater to the higher demand to several destinations, particularly during the traditional mid-year peak travel season, enabling our customers to confidently make their 2025 travel plans.
