The guide has announced its top 50 best Sunday roasts in Britain this year, with five London eateries selected. One of which, Lagom at Hackney Church Brew Co was awarded the best value Sunday roast out of all 50 places. Sunday roasts are available every Sunday from 12pm until they run out.

However, the eatery is so well-know for its delicious meals that customers are advised to book over one month in advance – with 12pm being the quietest times to book. The Red Lion & Sun in Highgate Village was also among the best places to much on Britain's “most famous dish”. A description of the meals at the pub reads:” Our menu can be described as rustic modern British pub food.

“All our meats are supplied by Phyllis and Lee Harper at Highgate Butchers, and all other produce is carefully source from respected producers locally wherever possible.” Elsewhere in the capital, The Devonshire in Soho, The Holland in Kensington and The Canton Arms in Stockwell all made the list on the Good Food Guide. The Blacklock in Canary Wharf was also awarded the best Sunday roast for group dining.
