One killed in two-vehicle wreck involving Bossier Parish school bus

in Plain Dealing. A vehicle struck the rear of the school bus that was carrying 31 students while it was stopped southbound on La. Highway 3 at Washington Street.

The driver of that vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene and a juvenile passenger was taken to a local hospital with injuries that were described as non-life-threatening. A student passenger on the school bus was also transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Bossier deputies along with BSO school resource officers worked with Bossier Schools administrators to reunite the remaining students on the bus with their parents/guardians.

Troopers with Louisiana State Police Troop G investigated the crash and the Bossier Parish Coroner's Office responded to the scene to investigate the death..
