One Direction fans collectively lost their minds this week after Harry Styles was spotted with Niall Horan’s mum at one of the Mullingar man’s concerts. Niall and Harry found fame in 2010 when they formed One Direction while competing on the X-Factor alongside Liam Payne, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson. After finishing third in the ITV singing competition, the boyband went on to sell 70 million records worldwide and score five number one albums before going on an indefinite hiatus in 2016.
Niall is currently touring his latest album The Tour, playing two sold out homecoming gigs at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham on Friday and Saturday night. It was a star-studded pair of gigs, with Ed Sheeran coming out to perform Lego House and Little Things on Friday and Niall’s close friend and fellow musician Louis Capaldi spotted backstage. However, it was Niall’s gig at Manchester’s Co-op Live which will have everyone talking after Harry was spotted talking to his former bandmate’s beloved mum Maura Gallagher.
Wearing a white top, mustard jacket and jeans, Harry looked as trendy as ever as he was seen in the crowd watching the gig and walking through the venue’s corridors with his security team. Fans rushed to Twitter, now known as X, to have their say on Harry showing Niall support and speculating that at One Direction reunion may be closer to happening than anyone thought. One person said: ‘Niall and Harry never stopped being friends and I’m totally not screaming punc.
