The Oklahoma City Ballet will showcase talented dancers from its professional company, school and others during a free outdoor community event on Sept. 13. The fifth annual Ballet Under the Stars will begin at 7 p.

m. in Oklahoma City’s Scissortail Park on the Love’s Travel Stops Stage and Great Lawn. It will feature excerpts from classical ballet and modern dance and include short works from OKC Ballet’s professional dancers and Yvonne Chouteau School students and the University of Oklahoma School of Dance students, a news release stated.

Presenting sponsors are Express Employment International, Arvest Bank and OK Let’s Dance, an initiative of the Kirkpatrick Family Fund. Bring lawn chairs, blankets and refreshments to enjoy the show and festivities that begin at 5:30 p.m, including a family dance class at 6:30 p.
