Muscat: The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism is conducting a series of promotional seminars in India to attract more tourists. The first mobile promotional seminar was launched in the Indian capital, New Delhi. The events are being held in four major cities: New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Bangalore.
The goal is to highlight the Sultanate's natural beauty, cultural heritage, and luxury hospitality. The seminars introduce the tourist aspects of the picturesque nature, attractive destinations and diverse experiences that make the Sultanate of Oman a focus for tourists, promote a number of tourism patterns and events, conference and exhibition tourism, and learn about the latest developments in the Omani tourism sector, upcoming developments and special promotional offers. His Excellency Azzan bin Qasim Al Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism for Tourism, said: "The Republic of India is one of the largest sources of tourism to various destinations in the world.
The number of visitors to the Sultanate of Oman during the past year 2023 exceeded 600,000 , and this number is expected to increase during the current year 2024. Al Busaidi added: "The Sultanate of Oman is a multi-season destination famous for its natural beauty and cultural heritage and attracts tourists from all categories, as the focus is currently on attracting more travelers to experience the luxury hospitality in the Sultanate of Oman.".
