People at home were not impressed when they heard the announcers say there was going to be karaoke. Some were mic'ed up, allowing the viewers at home to hear their off-pitch singing.

People took to Twitter, now known as X, to share their thoughts on the odd sing-along in the middle of the Olympic event. "What was this whole "Karaoke session", they couldn't even mix the songs properly or make sure they merge into each other well," one fan wrote. Another person added: "Can we stop karaoke now & move on to something else.

" A third added: "Athlete Karaoke? Really???" Some people pointed out that while it was called karaoke it was more of a sing-along since the vocals of the song played. "The French appear to have confused 'karaoke' with 'just playing a song,'" someone wrote.
