The Chevella excise police on Friday grilled Raj Pakala, brother-in-law of BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao, for nearly eight hours in connection with the Janwada farmhouse case of last week.

Pakala arrived at the police station at 1.50 pm and left at around 8.20 pm.

The interrogation was carried out by Rangareddy excise deputy commissioner Dasharath. Pakala responded to all the questions in the presence of his advocate. The case is still being investigated, the official said.

The excise police also summoned Nageshwara Reddy, from whose house the excise police had seized 17 bottles of foreign liquor. Meanwhile, Vijay Madduri, who tested positive for cocaine on the day the raid, was undergoing treatment at a hospital in the city..
