Emma Hunt was jailed for three years last August after being found guilty of fraud and embezzlement. The 38-year-old, from Coldstream, Berwickshire, spent thousands of pounds on parties, hospitality at sporting events, holidays, cars and designer goods.

But a confiscation order for £211,574.67 was made at Edinburgh Sheriff Court yesterday, with the Crown pointing out it has the power to extend the order to seize money and assets Hunt may acquire in the future to pay back the full amount. During her trial last year, the court heard she took huge sums from McLean Properties in Edinburgh by arranging for tenants to pay their rents into her own bank account.
