Bhubaneswar: At the World Travel Market (WTM) in London, Odisha Tourism’s delegation, led by Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, is making significant strides to enhance its presence in the international tourism sector. During the event, Parida engaged in fruitful discussions with the Consulate General of India in Edinburgh, potential tourism investors from Scotland, and explored strategies to elevate Odisha’s profile within the Scottish tourism market.

The dialogue also touched on future collaborations with prominent universities across various sectors, including sports, health, and education. In a parallel effort, a separate team of senior officials from the delegation visited Stonehenge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to gain insights into heritage conservation practices and the operational aspects of tourism amenities. At a press conference organized by India Tourism, Deputy Chief Minister Parida articulated Odisha’s unique appeal, stating, “With its rich cultural heritage, stunning landscapes, and vibrant traditions, Odisha stands out as a compelling destination for travelers.

We are eager to collaborate with UK and European tourism stakeholders to attract more visitors to our state.” She further extended an invitation to the Indian diaspora to participate in the upcoming 18th Editi.
