Joanne Arlene Webber MADRID – Joanne Arlene Webber (née Rollins), 89, of Madrid, passed away peacefully on Aug. 1, 2024. Born on August 5, 1934, in Phillips, Joanne’s life was one of dedication to her family, her work, and her faith.

Throughout her career, Joanne was the epitome of professionalism and grace, serving as a secretary for Ronald W. Sargent, at CA&T Lumber, and as the respected Town Clerk for the Town of Madrid, Maine. Her diligent work ethic and warm demeanor left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of working alongside her.

A faithful attendee of Lighthouse Christian Church and Reeds Mill Church, Joanne’s commitment to her faith was evident in her daily life. She found profound peace in the sanctity of nature, which she revered as God’s handiwork. Joanne’s love for gardening, reading, and engaging in various puzzles reflected her appreciation for life’s simple pleasures.

She treasured time spent at camp, where she could immerse herself in the natural beauty that she so loved. She is survived by her devoted sons, Greg (Hanah) Webber, Keith (Clare) Webber, and Darren (Judy) Webber; her adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her loving sister, Anita. Joanne was predeceased by her parents, Birchel Rollins and Grace Clark; her brothers, Frank and Basil; sister, Carolyn; her beloved husband, Malcolm; and two infant sons.

A graveside service to honor Joanne’s memory will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Phillips, on Saturday, Aug. .
