Liam and Noel Gallagher will bring their reformed band to Croke Park for the final announced gigs on August 16-17, after also playing in Manchester, London, Cardiff and Edinburgh. Tickets go on sale at 9am this Saturday (August 31), but one hour earlier at 8am for the Dublin gigs. The tour begins in Cardiff at the Principality Stadium on July 4-5 before playing four nights at Heaton Park in Manchester on July 11, 12, 19 and 20.

There are then four nights at Wembley Stadium on July 25-26 and August 2-3. It’s then on to Murrayfield in Edinburgh on August 8-9 before heading to Dublin. It is as yet unclear who else will make up the band along with the Gallagher brothers.

Rumours escalated on Sunday evening after the pair shared the same video on social media, written in the Oasis style, teasing an announcement on Tuesday at 8am. The same date and time appeared on big screens as Liam finished his headline slot at Reading Festival on Sunday. The announcement comes before tracks from the first recording session for Oasis’s debut album Definitely Maybe are released on Friday, marking its 30-year anniversary.

Unheard versions of songs including Live Forever, Cigarettes & Alcohol and Rock ‘N’ Roll Star were taken from their first recording session as a signed band, at Monnow Valley Studio in Rockfield, Monmouthshire. The recordings were scrapped before the band re-recorded the album at Sawmills Studios in Cornwall. Fans of the Manchester rock band have pleaded with the brothers.
