After fifteen years together, Noel realized he’d had enough of working with his sibling.

The band began arguing over an ad for Liam’s clothing line, Pretty Green, in the program for the festival. It didn’t take long for it to escalate. Soon, it turned violent.

That same day, Noel announced his decision to leave the band. “People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer,” he wrote in a statement.
He said the conversation about the ad had been his final straw after years of tense band relations. “I had enough when Liam and Bonehead [Paul Arthurs] — this is true — started arguing over a leather jacket,” he said, per Rolling Stone . “I am not even kidding.
