The excitement for NTR Jr 's next release Devara : Part 1 is palpable, with the trailer releasing taking place in Mumbai on Tuesday. ETimes was the first to report that advance booking for the film in North America- the biggest market for Telugu films outside of India will kickstart in the last week of August, and since then the film has caused mayhem at the ticket window. Going by the current numbers, the film is expected to take a US $ 1.

5 million opening for its premiere shows on 27th September in the North American ( USA and Canada) circuit. Till now the film has minted over US $ 777700 ( Rs 6.52 ) from the United States of America alone, selling nearly 26000 tickets from its nearly 900 shows.

On the other hand, the collection from Canada is currently standing at over US $ 49000, taking the entire North American collection to around US $ 827000 ( Rs 6.74 crore) With less than 20 days until the film's release, Devara is on track to achieve one of the biggest premiere day openings for NTR Jr, who is returning to American screens after the super success of SS Rajamouli ’s RRR . The film also marks Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor 's Telugu debut, and on Saif’s birthday, August 16th, the makers unveiled his first look as Bhaira.

Devara was supposed to be one film, but few months back, the makers decided to split the film into two parts. While Saif plays the villain in the first part, and Bobby Deol joining him in the second. The makers also released a new song called Devud.
