Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NYSE: NCLH) has pledged a $50,000 donation to the Juneau Community Foundation to aid in the recovery efforts following severe flooding in Juneau, Alaska. This financial support is intended to offer direct assistance to residents who were impacted by the catastrophic flooding, which was caused by the sudden release of water from the Mendenhall Glacier.

The recent flood, considered the most devastating in Juneau’s history, has led to extensive damage, flooding homes and displacing many residents. The donation from NCLH will contribute to a newly created fund designed to provide financial support for needs that may not be fully addressed by FEMA. “We are deeply connected to the Juneau community, and witnessing the devastation from the recent flood has been heart-wrenching,” said Dan Farkas, executive vice president, general counsel, and chief development officer at NCLH .
