A Northumberland chef is set to cook at an event in London's Guildhall which will raise money for the NSPCC. Cal Byerley, chef-owner of Restaurant Pine at Vallum Farm, East Wallhouses, is one of the five chefs who has been invited to cook at The Great Chefs Dinner, an exclusive four-course menu for one night only. The chefs create a four-course menu of "exquisite" dishes, aiming to showcase the best fine dining the UK has to offer.

Pine has won a slew of awards since opening in 2021 and becoming the county's second Michelin star restaurant. Cookery show fans will recognise Cal from Great British Menu, of which he has starred in two series . Cal said: "I'm always proud to be involved with events like this.

Being able to support Childline and help raise funds to help them continue to deliver their free and confidential services helping children and young people is a fantastic thing to be involved with and I’m thrilled to be able to do a little bit to help." Northumberland-based chef Cal will star alongside Adam Handling, Chet Sharma, Robert Thompson and Georgia Sommerin at the event, which will begin with a champagne reception before guests are invited to savour the four courses accompanied by wines paired with each dish. The evening will be hosted by Ollie Lloyd and include an opening performance from Capital Children's Choir.

Charlie Ross, of Antiques Road Trip, will host a luxury live auction and will include prizes donated by the chefs and more. The Great Chefs Dinner in .
