Pune: NCP (SCP) chief Sharad Pawar on Monday criticised the Mukhyamantri Mazhi Ladki Bahin scheme and said that govt is yet to allocate funds for many other schemes and scholarships already in operation. Amidst this, a new scheme will increase the state ’s financial burden. The scheme provides Rs1,500 per month to women domiciled in the state and whose annual family income is less than Rs 2.

Besides, the state govt also has many schemes and services for the poor, and there are no funds for it. In such a situation, an additional financial burden is being added. I hope the CM and his colleagues present their stand on this issue,” he told mediapersons at his residence in Pune.
