DIY SOS star Nick Knowles ’ future on Strictly could be hanging in the balance following a horrific injury. The 62-year-old has been paired up with Luba Mushtuk in the competition. Following their performance on Saturday, September 21, the pair were able to land 12th place on the leaderboard.
However, that star was recently involved in a nasty accident over the weekend. On Monday, September 23, Nick shared an update on Instagram about his recent injury. He explained that while trying to change a tyre quickly after his car broke down on the motorway with his son inside, he hurt his shoulder and arm.
He started off by saying: “Good morning, I thought I’d give an update. As you can see my arms are in a sling and that's because on the weekend my car broke down at the side of the motorway. My little boy was in the car so wanted to change the tyre as quickly as I possibly could to make sure it was safe.
He continued: “And in the process of hurrying to get the wheel off as quickly as i possibly could cause there was a big wheel on my big car. I managed to damage my shoulder and arm a little bit. He shared that while he's been in pain, he's feeling a bit better.
“It’s been quite painful although a little better this morning. So I’m on my way up to London to Harley Street to get the scan done. And to get top medical advice.
“But I am heading to training afterwards. So I can learn the steps of my next dance.” Fans were quick to wish him a speedy recovery.
