Strictly Come Dancing star Nick Knowles is like a “shell of a man” as he adjusts to the show’s intensity. That is according to the star’s fiancee Katie Dadzee who says he knew it would be “hard work” when he signed up for the hit BBC show. Speaking to Closer, the lingerie entrepreneur says 62-year-old Nick is “near enough crawling into the house” when he arrives home from rehearsals.
Dad-of-four Nick popped the question to 33-year-old Katie last summer, using a Haribo ring as a placeholder. He decided to take part in Strictly after dancing a Tango in Buenos Aires last year. And despite losing a whopping 13kg to take part in the show, Katie says the physical exertion has taken its toll.
Speaking to Closer, she said: “He’s like a shell of a man at the moment – he’s exhausted.” The pair, who are currently planning their wedding together, knew Nick’s time on the show would be hard work, with Strictly known for its intense schedule. She added: “I think it’s different to what I expected.
“We knew it would be hard work, but he is shattered every day when he comes back. He is near enough crawling into the house.” Nick and professional dancer Luba Mushtuk suffered a big-blow after the first live show this weekend when he “damaged” his arm.
